For original material from the Irishman, look no further than a brand new and exclusive (and FREE!) track on Adult Swim & Scion's 'Unclassified' compilation of new and rare music. His deep and digital dub track 'Waiting For The Lights' sits alongside others from luminaries like Actress, Zomby, Burial, Untold and Lukid... tasty, for sure!

More music is on the way, too, on both Clone, (namely the 'Oblique' EP, his third on the label and a four part excursion into dubby, grainy machine grooves... preview HERE) and Echochord Colour (the 'Air Frais' EP, a triumvirate of kicking, economical techno cuts which can be previewed HERE. And yes, it's coming with a remix by his fellow Roman Lindau. Ti-ta-techno-time!

A regular on labels like Clone, his latest 12'' is somehow the Dutchman's debut contribution to the revered Clone Basement Series. The track, 'Great Northern Diver' has picked up early support from dons like Dettmann, Skudge, Martyn and Cosmin TRG, and that's no surprise given its fusing of electro tension, bass music rhythms and dub heaviness.

Before they release their new album The Black Dog is putting out three EP's on their own Dust Science imprint. The EP's can be pre-listened HERE . In a bit the album can be pre-listened there too. One of the favorite subjects of producers to talk about is mastering. To quote Robert Henke aka Monolake: "Mastering became quite a fashion word, everyone is doing mastering now, everyone has mastering tools, but there are also those 'mastering gurus' and therefore mastering is located mentally in between being something very obvious and accessible and being a very secret knowledge. We're just in the middle of the yes/no/yes/no do we do another BoemTsjak-festival? For those who don't know, BoemTsjak is a small two-days festival with the focus on electronic live acts. Oh, and for coming thursday a visit to Belgium is planned! Laurent Garnier will be doing his live & dj-set, and it's another good excuse to escape Amsterdam.

Whoo, still shivers from the last edition of Planet Delsin, maybe one of the best yet? As said before, I didn't have too big expectations, but the club was getting crowded early, despite of 5Daysoff and (even, who knows?) Sensation White, things rolled along all too well well well. It was a real pleasure to dj for 2,5 hours, already rocking, but not full steam, and yes, even with some of those forgotten classics - it all turned out too nice! Even if I say myself, one of my best efforts to the night so far. Rolando took over all keeping the vibe, and taking it to a higher level by dropping Moodymann's Shades Of Jae. He closed his set with his Jaguar track, people went pretty mad, and it was really refreshing to hear this track again, played by one of the original creators! Tim Nieburg was all ready to take over, and kept the energy high and floating. Whoo, an edition definitely to remember.

Since two months (two years?) I have the plan to sort out my whole record collection. Since I started dj'ing, mine once so beautilfully sorted collection has become kinda mess. So if I'm looking for that Basic Channel record, or that Derrick May remix, I end up searching for more than an hour, without knowing if there will be a successful result. Whatever.. why? Well, coming saturday is another Planet Delsin coming up, and me is scheduled to dj before this edition's guest Dj Rolando is gonna rock. So instead of mostly new stuff, I intend to play some 'forgotten' (even by me - so to say) classics. So time to get moving! No idea what to expect for coming saturday, as this week is also the 5Daysoff festival, and last years it seemed to be one of the more difficult weekends for the club. Thinking also if Delsin could cooperate with Rolando in a way, but how to handle those kinda things? Hmmm.

Oh yes.. it's happening. I wiped all dust away, connected some midi cables again, and it even did work all properly. I really have to get rid of the small Korg midi keyboard. Not that I have that thick fingers, but something normal is prefered. Most of the time went to investigating which file is which song, uses which instruments, instruments uses which soundbank again? etc etc. Listening own music I even could hardly remember ever making it. All good! In the end, speaking so to say now, four almost finished songs are left. So yes - I'm proud to present an new upcoming Peel Seamus EP, hurrah!

A lot of people ask me about the mp3-sales. I have to say, it's still pretty growing. There seemed to be kinda boot in it, especially since last quarter of 2006, regarding sales and sustaining through this year as well. The ones which sell most on vinyl seem to sell most through the digital world as well. No so strange of course. Amount wise it's about 10% of total sales, of course with disregard to the illegal downloads, which I don't know about. Income wise it's growwing towards 20% of total sales, since there are hardly any costs. Well, now you know! :-) Personally I don't believe in mp3-only labels yet. I think this will take about 2-3 years more when the focus has shifted even more to the net.

Whoo within 3 weeks is the next episode of Planet Delsin, with this time Dj Rolando. It will be the sixth episode, and thus far all have been a success. Kinda to my suprise to be honest, when we started back in September, as I really didn't know what to expect, and taken in perspective the club isn't the smallest in town.. :-) But so far, so all very good! Dates for Augst and September are set, and even the bookings are all set and done. Whoo, living several months ahead.

Reactions for the Quince album are still floating in, all very nice and positive. The Quince mr has a new EP ready to float the end of the summer through the respected Music Man label. It will show his more newer tracks, as his Delsin album also was kinda leap forward, a collection of his best productions of the last three years. This new EP will be more kinda housey, hah, even kinda clicky I dare to say.. ;-) B-side goes more deep dubby, a bright future ahead. Our friend 154 is struggling again some fever, but even more, some bureaucratic music ghosts from the past. May the force be with him! :-)

The Quince album is out. Well, in Japan to start with.. Since the distribution market is still on the move and changing - it's kinda difficult to have one proper release date. So France and the USA have to wait till September, Germany just one week from here, etc. etc. Ah well, I've put all my trust in my man Mark at Rush Hour Distribution. Reactions are all good, and our dear Vince Watson even did take the time to first listen the album 10 times, and then write a long proper feedback. Very appreciated! Tonight Alton Miller is dj'ing at the 2nd edition a new club night called 'Detroit Spirit' - no explanation necessary... Set up by two young enthusiastic guys - go!

Top notch sublime solid & true souful techno by this young Dutch talent!! As praised by Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, Rolando, Dave Clarke, and others! Always scouting for the best talents, one of the new young brave men arrived on the Planet Delsin is Quince. Quince is a 25 years-old producer from The Netherlands dropping his debut album En.vi.sion on Amsterdam's finest deep techno label.

Actually I don't really know what I'm doing until now. Got out of bed at 8am, and see it's 3pm, Well, I'm cleaning up my computer's desktop and other folders again, which is overfilled with files: pictures, mp3, invoices, etc etc. Most are really totally useless - so can direct to recycle-bin, and make me wonder why they are on my desktop in the first place. Also around are a lot of unlistened demo mp3 around. Listening demos get me most of the time pretty down, as really over 80 to 90% are music files, of which I think, why they sent this to me anyway?!? Oh well, luckily I'm in a good mood, so it's time for demo shrubbing, and most go after 1 sec into the recylce bin. Also just listening to a first sketch a new track by Quince, which I just received, and a remix Redshape made for Steve Bug's Poker Flat label. All very, very good!! These guys rock! beep.

Geeh, the demand for the last two delsin was very luckily more then expected. But this means both the Taho and the Redshape EPs are temporarily unavailable. Represses should arrive early June, to flow out over the world again.

Omg.. just a quick note - as I just got a raw version of new Redshape material, 7-9am is the title. Amazing piece of work! Different as before, but still very Redshape. Think Redshape, think that one sided yellow vinyl T.O.M. track, think whatever and feel and listen it again and again. A true master at work! Probably released on Redshape's Present-label shortly after summer. Whoo!

Geeh, after being still half with my head in China over a week, it more feels like Amsterdam again now. A quick report on the last Planet Delsin - it was all crowded again, and probably thanks to Octave One several new faces around. They rocked the place, Ross 154 did a very good job as well with some proper house and techno, as did the other matey Tim and Raymon. All good - also the dinner was fun as half of Octave One, could still remember his party at 'Onder De Bogen', which was actually one of the first Rush Hour parties, way back somewhere 1998 (?), with a thick green 'plastic grass' (?) carpet around there. Which I had all forgotten about, but Larence Burden brought back into memory. Geeh, I'm getting old. Ehm... ok, next one up is Mr Jaguar: Rolando on July 7th - so yes - we skip June.

Just a short one about the weekend then - the Moodymann thing was all good, although he's seems more like kinda radio-dj, as a dancefloor one, it place was all crowded with nice people, who got me repeating over 20 times how my holiday was. Left as one of the lasts, so should say enough. For the saturday - Dj Traxx was really amazing - the club wasn't too crowed, but the dance floor really was.. Both the dj as the crowd went really nuts!! Full music galore - all rough to discoish house tunes - got all sweating and sweating! Beep.

Beep beep. Just back from a really amazing journey to China! Really, really impressive and all fun, I loved it! But ok, back to the music. Octave One are coming next week to rock Amsterdam at Planet Delsin. But already this weekend/tomorrow, for a small village as Amsterdam, too much luxury again! As is coming friday - the Rush Hour peeps have Moodymann to dj in a newer Amsterdam venue called Flex Bar, and day after saturday Dj Traxx is coming to dj at the Spank Spank party at the always good Pakhuis Wilhelmina. Reports coming.

A short one before I jump into the plane to China... The 4th Planet Delsin party of last saturday was really good once again, maybe the best one yet! We (Sam Deetron, Bram Quince, Raymon Ray and me) all seemed up for it, making it one nice flow of good musica! Same great vibe as the last one with Fabrice Lig and Redshape - it works out really well when deejays and live acts know each other - so all music more seems like being blend into one. Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal (Rejected) came by as well to say hello to Deetron. Planned they left at 12pm, but it became 4am.. :-) We quickly promised each other to sort out a date soon to get Joris dj'ing soon at Planet Delsin as well. Geeh, all good fun - looking forward! Ok - now need to pack things and stuff. China here I come!

After three successful sold out editions, the coming edition of Planet Delsin has again a lot good things to offer. Planet Delsin combines as usually young talents and known names. On Easter Saturday 7th of April are programmed Deetron from Switzerland, and Quince, one of Holland’s bigger talents, doing a live performance.

Since his debut EP last year on Amsterdam’s Delsin label Quince's reputation is rising and rising. Only two EP´s and two remixes for his Amsterdam colleagues Aardvarck and Melon were released, but he is already recognized as one of Holland´s better techno artists. This has been proved by the fact his tracks are to be found on mix cd albums by Dj Rolando and Josh Wink. In June his debut album album 'En.vi.sion' will be released, which will prove his high producer qualities once again.

Deetron is around in the dance world for a much longer time. He polished his own sound, resulting last autumn into his debut album 'Twisted'. The album was praised by Gilles Peterson, Sven Väth, Âme and others. Before this album, he was already well known in the dance circuits, not in the last place because of his excellent mixing skills, most preferable shown with three turn tables. Last year he played in almost every cool club around the world, like Berghain (Berlin), Fabric (London), Cocoon (Frankfurt), and Rex (Paris). Amsterdam’s 11 can’t be missed on this list, of course!

In April I'm going for a long trip with two good friends to China. Very, very looking forward to, but before I go I have to many things to do! Since albums need to be promoted much, much ahead of the release date (kinda like 3 months, don't ask me why), I need to get these beautiful Quince album floating before I leave, and next to that also the three EPs being released in April and in May. And if that ain't enough there are two episodes of Planet Delsin (monthly club night in Amsterdam's club 11), to be arranged. Ah well - no time to loose then - me get going! Arrghh

Ok, short one about the cat then. Today I'm gonna pick up a new cat, to join the Delsin family. Further on things are pretty hectic at Delsin HQ. We got great new artwork for the upcoming EPs, although the processing of the new sleeves takes longer time as I wish it would. Need to push release dates back etc, oh well. It should be possible.. yes. Also the Quince ablum is kinda ready, altough release is only in June - "things need to be pre-arranged, Cliff.." ;-) . Yes.

I've been walking around with the idea to start a blog much more earlier. Actually I even did have one in 2004. But this time I'm gonna put it in the context of being record label boss, to give it a context, and leave lots of personal ramblings behind, about my new cat, my bad functioning bike, my over amount of unread newspapers, which I seem to be unable just to throw away and so on.

Over the years Newworldaquarium built up a tight worldwide fan base, as one of the current producers sticking to their own sound and style. After the widely praised 'Strike' album (as 154), and releases on UKs Peacefrog and New Religion, this is the fourth single on Amsterdams Delsin Imprint.
The A side kinda continues with his previous releases, and also reminds to Carl Craigs Just Another Day EP beautiful, very deep techno soundscapes. And as always, doing it his very own way, Newworldaquarium is saving the dancefloor energy for the end as the b side holds two very dancefloor burners! Twenty is one pure energy block, reminding to Giorgio Moroder and other synth pioneers. Tip!

The two heavily sought after debut releases by Newworldaquarium will soon be available again. Delsin cat no 10 and 13 from (waaayyy back) Autumn 2000, will be repressed in a limited quantity, to be available this spring.

Second edition of Planet Delsin. Vince Watson from Scotland will do a live show presenting his new album 'The eMotion Sequence'. A future classic already, praised by Laurent Garnier, Rolando, and many others. Second special guest is Steve Rachmad, here dj'ing under his Sterac alias to show his love for Detroit Techno. Residents Raymon and Tim complete the juicy line up.

Planet Delsin moves to a bigger location, to 11, one of Amsterdam's finest clubs. Guest for the first night is Stacey Pullen - smoothly sahking the night together with residents Raymon Hollander, Tim Nieburg, and Peel Seamus.

Cassy takes the credits for the first mix cd of one of Europe finest clubs Panorama Bar. Included is D5' track 'Sides Of Space' from his last single on Delsin. Also on there are Delsin artists Shed and Redshape - all into a very gorgeous smooth mix.

Who needs lowlands, if you can be on Planet Delsin. Rocking it with the finest house and deep warm techno jams, once again are Aroy Dee, Newworldaquarium and Peel Seamus in Amsterdam's finest spot Pakhuis Wilhelmina. From 11pm onwards, entrance 5 euro.

Metropolis and Planet Delsin join forces for this first episode of 'Technicolors' - the best in detroit techno, technosoul and deeper house. Expect a special long dj set by Vince Watson, as well a great live set by Holland's most talanted one Quince (formerly known as Quinn), as well wicked music by Raymon Hollander and Melon. Saturday May 13th - Acid Thunder on the Planet Delsin!! A very fine Chicago House Special!! From Chicago, USA they bring you a special live performance by Hieroglyphic Being, educated by Chicago House pioneers and legends Adonis and Steve Pointdexter, he's now ready to jack on his own. Deejays for the knight are Amsterdam's deepest house jocks Newworldaquarium and Aroy Dee.

D5's Floatation Tank from the Planet Delsin compilation is again included on a mix cd. This time by Josh Wink for his own Ovum label. Also golden oldie 'Nissan' by CiM from the 1999 released 5th release on Delsin is included on this mix cd.

The Delsin people are ready to drop another party at their homebase Pakhuis Wilhelmina Amsterdam. Deejays for the night will be Newworldaquarium, Aroy Dee, Hendrik and Peel Seamus. Saturday March 4th. 10pm. 5 euro entrance.

'No More Drama' from the upcoming debut Delsin EP by Quinn will be included on the upcoming mix cd by Dj Rolando on UK's NRK label. Besides the track by Quinn, also 'Catalysm' by Hal Varian (aka Delsin boss Peel Seamus) will be included.

After appearing on Carl Craig's Fabric mix cd, the floor buster 'Energize' is included on 'Dessous presents Eccentris: Skin Is In', a special compilation done by Ame (Sonar Kollektiv) and Steve Bug (Pokerflat), for Hamburg's Dessous label.

'Component Zero' will be included on the new mix cd . Dynarec will find itself comfortably between Ellen Alien, Richie Hawtin, Sleeparchive and others..

The fourth episode of the threemonthly free DVD-magazine 'Slices', contains a Holland Special, including interviews with Legowelt, Joris Voorn, Clone, Stefan Robbers, and also Delsin. Available now, for free at most quality record shops.

After the appearance of Dj Yoav B. on Carl Craig's Fabric:25 mix cd, Delsin is also featured on the newest mix on the London based label. Mixed by Global Communication, they included Vince Watson's 'The Way It's Meant To Be', from the stunning 'Planet Delsin'-compilation.

The 25th part of the famous series from the London based club, will be mixed by Detroit hero Carl Craig. One of the tracks to be included is the latest single from Yoav B. 'Energize'.

The Amsterdam record labels Klakson and Delsin unite to organize the first episode of BoemTsjak. A two day festival on October 28 & 29, with a focus on live acts. Dynarec's latest single will appear on Dave Clarke's second episode of World Service, his famous mix serious of electro and techno. The double cd should come out any moment.
