Quince strikes again, after his brilliant and well received album 'En.vi.sion' from last year, he here continues where he left us after his last single 'The Summit'.

This EP goes all new school techno, aide a brings 'Expanding', which is a 11 minutes epic synth based builder, coming in two parts. Lush hypnotic synth galore, and be warned! don't underestimate the bassline in 2nd part. 'Contracting' goes more uptempo and funky with strong club appeal. Strong stuff.

'Contracting' really comes alive for me when pitched up and overlayed with more percussive trax. Solid Synth-Action!

Did he make these tracks during his trip abroad? Guess the sun did him good! Always on point, great synth on Expanding, but Contracting wins it for me... Quince, we love you!

Can't fault this at all- epic without being cheesy is a hard trick to pull so well done Mr Quince. Contracting isn't quite so successful for me but still well above average material.

Quite a modernist stance on Quince's cuts here, excellently executed as ever. "Expanding" really stands out for me though with the way that it builds and delivers that bassline...Full support, many thanks.

John Selway (CSM Records) (New York) wrote

Both are great, Expanding has a positive upbeat bounce and will certainly keep people moving, and Contracting has a tense, darkly growing hypno groove that will be a good prelude to heavier parts of a set.
yeah nice.....both do it for me, perhaps 'Contracting' slightly edging it. nice work!

Good productions as always for master Quince, there's to much string stuff going on for me in "Expanding" but "Contracting" is nice, deep and warm and my cup of tea... will play for sure! Correction listened to "Expanding" a couple times now and man i love it!!!
Darko Esser (Doornroosje) (Nijmegen) wrote

Quince on Delsin can't go wrong huh?! ;-) Excellent tunes from one of Hollands finest producers on Hollands finest imprint. Contracting reminds of Ame in respect to flow and deepness, but it's Expanding that really rocks my socks: freaked out, yet organised psychedelica & mos def up my alley... Nice work mate and needless to say: full support!
Fabrice Lig (Biesme-Sous-Thuin) wrote

Vince Watson (Delsin, Planet E) (Amsterdam) wrote

Benny Rodrigues (Rotterdam) wrote

Both tracks of this supertalented chief will get full support, but for me it's most definitely 'Expanding' on the winning side.. very interesting and accesable (but with the Quince lush of deepness sauce) deep-tech/deep-house vibe, reminds me a bit of Ame and it's great to see Quince grow and grow from an already super high-level....go Quince! :-)
