Auch hier erstaunt wieder die Energie und die Konsequenz, mit der Redshape über die formalen Grenzen von Detroit-Techno und Techno hinweggeht. Die drei Stücke sind mit ihren komplexen Grooves und den kaum aufeinander bezogenen Sounds sehr offen, trotzdem arbeiten sie aus einem einzigen, gebündelten Antrieb heraus. Besonders toll ist der abstrakte, stehende Ton in "Future Shock", der zwischen einem Erdungsrauschen und einer eingefrorenen Acid-Bassline liegt. "Kung Fu" steht zwischen einer bezaubernden Larry Heard-Nummer und einer sperrigen, unversöhnlichen Drum & Bass-Platte auf einem Label wie Reinforced. Tolle Platte. AW
