Brand new label curated by Aroy Dee. Production outfit The Army Of God are on the march. This debut release, “Salvation” is an yet unknown recording dating from somewhere in the 80's. The recording comprises glorious, slow-mo and dark wave vibes with vocals chanting about apocalyptic religious visions like a sci-fi dark gospel theme
Salvation comes with a dub version as well as a sophisticated Spaventi D'Azzuro re-make on the flip.
The original version pairs a tortured sounding gothic vocal with taught synths and eerie atmospheres for 5 mechanical minutes of dark wave pop with stunning vocals by an -yet- unknown vocalist miss Jagroe. Miss Jagroe's voice echoes far away memories of Amanda Lear with her raw and unpolished sound. Whilst the dub version is even more tense and sparse. The D’Azzuro remix, meanwhile, simultaneously exposes an Italian roots of a long forgotten era for all its glistening, refracted Italo charm and pronounced drum work.
There’s also a special focus on the artwork, which is a limited edition design by Dutch comic maker Marcel Ruiters, known for many dark and moody underground comics and his suberb graphic novel of the Inverno by Dante
