on Conforce - Grace EP
My favorite producer from the High North is on a roll lately. Everything Boris touches seems to arive in gold plated dub infused boom-boxes.
I can't wait to hear Grace on a decent sound system. Them rimshots are making me wanna daaaaaance! at 11:43PM on May 25th, 2010

on Delta Funktionen - Setup One: Decorum
Fine dj-tools but I wouldn't buy this for home listening to be honest. Perhaps I just have to play it (or hear it) on a decent set.
Abundance is my favorite of the four. at 11:35PM on May 25th, 2010

on R-A-G - Beyond EP
Sizzeling hihats for the weary techno hearts. Nice! Redsquare and Energy will go down well on sweaty dancefloors but Beyond gives me the most pleasure while at home.

on Dj Yoav B. - Love Dubs EP
Who was playing the keys for Derrick May again, back in the old days?
Higher Love smells like vintage Detroit but the groove is from a different timezone. Nice. at 12:05AM on March 16th, 2010

on Morphosis - Musafir EP
Good to see Morphosis back on on MOS. I love his twisted view on electronic dance music. Running Out is killer and every dj who's bold enough to play this 'Theo Parrish-on-dope' track deserves serious props.
Musafir will work wonders too. at 11:50PM on March 15th, 2010
on Syrinx - B.D.O. EP
Not much new ground here but the quality is high and retro is good. :)
Dubsequence is my pick of this threesome. at 11:44PM on March 15th, 2010
on Redshape - Red Pack
The Lesson has that old hectic Carl Craig-feeling I used to like so much.
Drama is best of the bunch with it's ice cold metal stabs and a bass synth that goes deeper than the NY Underground. at 11:37PM on March 15th, 2010
on San Proper - Sex Drive Rhythm EP
Sex Drive Rhythm is dripping with lust. Coolest track of a strong pack from the Dutch answer to Sleazy D and Blake Baxter. at 10:42PM on February 15th, 2010
on Aroy Dee - Tears EP
Strings baby, strings! Four strong retro feel tracks from the man of melancholy, Aroy Dee. Tears and Soul Sparkle stand out but it's all quality here. at 12:19PM on December 2nd, 2009
on Delta Funktionen - Silhouette EP
Strong remix of a track that allready got the crowds moving. Dettmanns version is suited for the Gashouders and Berghains of this world. at 12:16PM on December 2nd, 2009
on Redshape - The Dance Paradox
One of the better techno albums from 2009. Pitch dark with a touch of red in the distance. at 10:54AM on September 30th, 2009
on Redshape - Paradox Dubs
Major Space Dub sounds like some unreleased Leftfield gem from their golden years. And the strings in Next Door Ultra Dub are killer. at 10:48AM on September 30th, 2009

on Newworldaquarium - The Force (Ame Remixes)
on Aroy Dee - The Planets
Divine is back on the dancefloor!! And in full disco modus too. :) The remix has little to do with the original but is decent, energetic techno that will find it's way in dj-bags worldwide. at 1:11PM on August 2nd, 2009
on Delta Funktionen - Electromagnetic Radiation Part II
Welcome back Friesland! You can hear the fog above the greenfields in the beautiful strings mister Luinenburg makes. This is techno that makes me happy AND wanna dance. at 1:10PM on August 2nd, 2009

on D5 - Floatation Tank EP
What a great production. I forgot about these two gems, to be honest. I Love how D5 uses the delay Swayzak-stylee on Intruders, with lots of space around the sounds. at 11:42PM on August 1st, 2009
on Redshape - 2010 EP
I like the dark edge 2010 has. Very freeform beat programming too. Runner up is Violet, with some of the most eerie strings I heard in a long time. at 10:43PM on June 14th, 2009
on Newworldaquarium - Trespassers
Very subtle version of a track that has been a a favorite in my collection since it came out. I like how the little melody creeps in from behind the beats. A good way to keep us quiet while Mr. Peteri sorts out his new tunes (anything yet?). at 7:55PM on June 14th, 2009
on Chicago Skyway - Heavens & Angels EP
Nice package! Mix 6 brings me a serious dejavu of old 808 State and Gerald Simpson records. My personal favorite is the Extended version, which sounds like a rawer release on Eevo-Lute, '91 or something. at 7:51PM on June 14th, 2009
on Quince - My Life's Rhythm
Holy cow! My Life's Rhythm has the kind of intro that makes you wanna leave your cold beer at the bar, stop the conversation with the hot chick you just met and run to the dancefloor. What a monster of a tune!
And if all minimal would have the energy Electric has, the genre wouldn't be in jeopardy.
at 12:02AM on April 8th, 2009

on Legowelt - Slompy Jitt EP
Is this guy behind his keyboards all day? But his productivity doesn't seem to affect the sheer quality of his music. On the contrary, this ep is among the best stuff he's done for ages. Melodies all around! Best of the bunch is Police 303. Early 808 State meets Omar S & Theo P on a windy street corner in Chicago. at 11:58PM on April 7th, 2009
on Various Artists - Delsin 2.0 Remix EP1
Interesting combination, Redshape vs Peteri. And it works too. I like how he stays close to the original yet inserts some dubby bits and bobs that do the trick.
Quince seems to be on top of things too, with his reconstruction. Lots of space, in a Swayzak kinda way. Me likee.
at 9:45PM on March 3rd, 2009

on Various Artists - Delsin 2.0 Remix EP2
You can't go wrong with Shed at the moment, everything he touches is ace. Is this 4/4 dubstep, dubtechno or something else? It's bloody brilliant, that's for sure.
Mister Rachmad stays in known territories, but with a bassline like this I don't mind. at 9:41PM on March 3rd, 2009
on Morphosis - Cetrik EP
Cetrik is a welcome sandstorm that will clear the minds of minimal dopeheads the world over. A truly original track that will stand out in any dj-set.
I can see the dj potential of Flash but prefer the stripped down raw energy of Round One. at 4:11PM on November 20th, 2008
on James Kumo - Kumomusic Vol 2
Effective and trippy, this new Kumomonster. Dreams only works in clubs or on a bike with a heartbeat of 170. ;) at 4:05PM on November 20th, 2008
on Rolando - Hiatus EP
Shuffles like only them Detroitees can make 'em. I'll go for the dub mix though, being a Deepchord fetishist and all. Bring on Rod Modell for the remix twelve. ;) at 11:22AM on September 24th, 2008
on Markus Enochson & The Subliminal Kid - Schmuts EP
All slow builders that work best in huge concrete warehouses. A small crowd around a pumping soundsystem in the dark corner in the far end. I can see that.
BTW:: Whatever happened to Spooky the Subliminal Kid? at 11:16AM on September 24th, 2008
on Aroy Dee - Summer EP
Sapperdeflap, wat een dikke tracks weer van de Dee. All That Remains is my favorite because it made me wanna play all them old EevoLute records again.
Summer Bright is also spot on at 11:10AM on September 24th, 2008
on Quince - Expanding / Contracting
Contracting is dikke mik! A lesson how trimming can lead to great effect. Somewhere halfway between Carl Craig and Ame but with a very original flow to it. Love it. at 12:39PM on April 16th, 2008
on Sterac aka Steve Rachmad - Rond Bot EP
What could I possibly add to all the raving around Rond so far in all the comments? Well, I could add that this track goes down very well on the bike too. While working out with a hearbeat of 170. Love how the strings move beyond the clouds after a few minutes. Rond is the favorite one of the two, though I think when I will be out of my 'stekkertje', Bot will do the trick just nicely too. ;) at 10:51AM on March 3rd, 2008
on Chymera - Hundulu EP
Very nice how Hundulu slowly unfolds it's beauty. When I hear this one on a big soundsystem I wanna run to the dancefloor for sure. The remix is ook erg dik. ;) at 8:56PM on January 14th, 2008
on Traxx Presents.. - Photon / Solara
Phat acid that goes on like there is no tomorrow. Really like it's raw production. Old school fingerprints all over on this one. at 8:52PM on January 14th, 2008
on Delta Funktionen - Electromagnetic Radiation Part I
Estuary wins prices in the category deep & dubby. Quality stuff, that sits next to the Deepchord guys and the recent Huckaby productions.
Nebula is nice and does the trick, but holds little surprises for me. at 8:48PM on January 14th, 2008
on Newworldaquarium - The Dead Bears
Megadik. Dromen met je ogen open. One of the best Dutch dance albums in a long long time. at 8:34PM on January 14th, 2008
on Nubian Mindz - Afrika Man EP
Techno Love brings finger clicking in techno music to new heights, if you ask me. Where's the tap dancer? Like the dark, full on vibe of Techno Love, but the vocals are too much for me. Afrika Man is more up my sleeve. Lots of cool sounds. :) at 6:55AM on December 24th, 2007
on Djinxx - Prohibition EP
That bass synth in Revolver is a killer. And I like the way we slowly but surely are pulled intro Djinxx trip. I like the melancholic mood of The Foreigner, but the beats of that track are weak and boring. Get a remix done. ;) at 2:09PM on December 22nd, 2007
on James Kumo - Kumomusic Vol 1
Fluid is definitely the main track of this ep. Reminds me of old 808 State drum programming, when Gerald was still part of that bunch. at 11:56AM on December 19th, 2007
